In 2014, a couple adopted a little girl named Delaney from China. The couple had hoped and prayed for many years for the chance to adopt a baby. It was an emotional journey that proved to be worth it in the end when Delaney finally came to them. The video below takes you on that journey.
You will see Delaney’s reaction when she gets word that she will be traveling; they called that Delaney’s “Gotcha Day.” A lot of thought and tons of love went into this process. Delaney’s mom had a necklace that she wore always, and Delaney had a pillow with her Mom and Dad’s faces on it. After Delaney finally made it home, the first night was complicated.
