Rescuers Attempt To Help Stray Who Has A Hole In His Trachea

When rescuers found a scared, sickly dog named Paris they were scared for the animal’s life.

Paris is a loving dog who unfortunately spent too long living on the streets of Greece. As is an issue with most cities in the world, stray dogs run rampant in Greece without a solution to such a pitiful problem.

Paris was rescued by Ermioni, a rescuer from the Greek Animal Rescue (GAR), who was shocked by what he saw when they picked up the poor dog. It appeared at a young age, somebody had wrapped a wire around the dog’s neck. Paris was then left to his own devices and in trying to remove the awful piece of metal, he ended up with a hole in his trachea. Likewise, when the poor dog was found, he was barely skin and bones.

“The wire around his neck was so tight it created a huge hole to his trachea,” Ermioni said.

Fortunately, Paris was taken to a good veterinary clinic and got the love and attention he desperately needed. He has gained weight and been making serious comebacks, but he still has a long way to go. Paris is still in need of a loving home and a family who knows how to deal with his stress and anxiety issues.
