When making mental notes of the things you’d like to bring back with you from vacation, a larvae infestation is not one of them. As shared by Your Nation News, that’s exactly what happened to this man, and it took him awhile to even discover it.
The unidentified man had taken a trip to Belize with his family, and he took ill when he returned home. It wasn’t just a run of the mill cold either, as his temperature rose to 102 degrees – and stayed there. Additionally, he noticed that he had three markings on his elbow that appeared to be infected.
That led to several trips to different doctors, but he failed to get any answers for what was ailing him. It wasn’t until he ran into an old friend that had spent a lot of time in Central America. That friend was able to quickly put his finger on what was ailing his friend.

Turns out that the infections were actually spots where bot fly larvae were developing under his skin, and he had yet another trip to the doctor in his future.
