When the staff at the Stanwell School, in Penarth, South Wales has an inquiry as to the whereabouts of 15-year-old James Morgan, they never do quite know what to expect. As the Mirror explains, that’s because his dad, Simon Morgan, is what you would call a prankster.
A recent unexpected absence prompted an inquiry from the school, and Simon quickly replied with a photo of his son outside of a luxury hotel.
“We only found out about the holiday the day before as it was through the travel agency that we run, so we genuinely didn’t have time to plan,” Simon says.

The school got the hint that the kid was on vacation, but sometimes they’re not so sure – as evidenced by this reply they received back in 2015.

“Not sure what happened next but I’ve woken up in a hotel room with a six foot plastic flamingo in my bed and what looks like Mike Tyson’s tiger in the corner of the room. I think we may be in Las Vegas? I’ve no idea where James is. Will check the roof,” the text read.
