Catherine St. Germain is still dealing with the after-effects of a particularly traumatic experience in her life, and she’s now speaking out to warn other parents before their own children become victims too. As 9 News reports, her 15-year-old daughter was sexually abused by her ex-husband, and she didn’t have a clue until her daughter went to the cops.
Her daughter had been sexually assaulted by her ex-husband, Aaron Scott. She received a strange phone call about coming down to the police station without telling him anything about it.
“We were in the police station, and the policeman handed me her statement. And I started reading, and I don’t even think I made it more than a couple of lines in. And I just collapsed on her. And hugged her and told her I was so sorry and how much I loved her,” she explains.

Catherine has told her story in a video on Facebook so that others can keep an eye out for signs she may have missed.

“I don’t want this to happen to anyone else. I want moms to know what grooming signs look like,” she says.
