A pair of would-be home invaders in Memphis, Tennessee picked the wrong house to mess with. As WREG explains, the homeowner shot and killed one of them, and the other is on the run.
Police would respond to the scene after reports of gunshots. They would find 22-year-old Nico Carlisle dead at the front door thanks to multiple gunshot wounds.
“I was here and I heard…seen some boys go over there next door, you know, trying to get up in their house, and I came to the door. That’s when I heard some shots,” a neighbor explained.

Reports indicate that Carlisle and his accomplice knocked on the door, forced their way inside when a woman answered, and pressed a gun against the her neck. However, the homeowner had armed herself prior to answering the door, and she proceeded to fire off multiple rounds.

Several of them struck and killed Carlisle, while the other perpetrator hightailed it out of there. Police continue to look for the suspect that remains at large, and they are asking the public for help. No charges are pending against the homeowner.
