Man Rakes Wildfire Coals, Then Looks Under Bench To Find 1 Note That Covers Him In Goosebumps

It had been one day since the Tennessee fires caused thousands of dollars worth of damage. Instead of fleeing the scene, Isaac McCord and several of his coworkers traveled into the burnt down Dollywood park grounds in the city of Gatlinburg to salvage anything they could.

Hours into scouring the scene and raking away burning embers, they moved onto an area of damage where a single park bench remained standing.

Isaac approached the bench and gently began to rake the ground, removing ash, embers and debris soaked by the firefighters’ water hose. That’s when he spotted something just laying there in a puddle.

It was a single page from the Bible. The fact that it was a page from the Bible was shocking in itself, but it’s what the page said that really got to Isaac and his coworker Misty….

Isaac posted an image of the burnt page on Facebook and shared exactly what was written. The text was hauntingly relevant to the wildfire wreaking so much havoc and destruction on their beloved hometown.

“Joel 1:15

The day of the LORD is near, the day when destruction comes from the Almighty. How terrible that day will be!

Joel 1:19

To you, LORD, I call, for fire has devoured the pastures in the wilderness and flames have burned up all the trees of the field.

Joel 1:20

Even the beasts of the field pant for you because the water brooks are dried up, and fire has devoured the pastures of the wilderness.

And at the bottom barely visible is:

Joel 2:1

Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at hand.”

To Isaac and Misty, this was a clear sign that God knew what was happening there in Gatlinburg and was watching their actions carefully.

Isaac told Knox News that once he and Misty finished reading the page, they immediately joined hands and started to pray.

“We were like this is unreal, this is unbelievable. When we had both fully read it, we looked at each other – and I will never forget this moment – we both burst into tears. I was ghost white, and we just prayed. There was nothing else to do.

Still to this moment, almost four hours after the fact, I don’t have words for it.”

Isaac believes incidents like this that show the true power of God and exactly what he’s capable of – hopefully his prayers will be heard.
