A woman named Gemma appeared on the UK daytime TV hit “The Jeremy Kyle Show,” and she would quickly regret her decision. As the Huffington Post shares, she was subjected to a steady stream of online abuse in the wake of the show’s airing, and it was all due to her appearance.

The woman’s front teeth protrude from her face in an extremely noticeable way, and she would go on to be dubbed “Tooth Woman.” The online abuse was pretty relentless, and Gemma was extremely affected by the cruel taunts.

“After the show my teeth caused a social media meltdown. The abuse was terrible, I just wanted to cry. I actually had a breakdown,” she explains.

That’s when the show decided to step in and foot the bill for a dental makeover for the bullied woman. They would of course film and document the whole thing for their captive audience, but nonetheless Gemma walked away from the deal with a brand new pair of front teeth. Reaction on social media has been much kinder this time around.
