A short anti-racism video has gone super-viral with more than 21,000,000 views. The simple message reminds us that no matter what we look like, we’re all human.
The video is about 2 minutes long and is by Nancy Spetsioti. It features a white family walking into a waiting room. There is a young, dark man in the room already.
When the little girl sits next to the dark man, the mother pulls her away. The parents re-arrange their seats so that the father stands and the mother and little girl sit with an empty seat between them and the young dark man. The sideway glances show just how uncomfortable the white people are with the young man of a darker race.

The nurse calls them all into the doctor’s office. The doctor the introduces the family to the dark man– he is their daughter’s bone marrow donor. The stunned family just stares in disbelief.

Whether the film is going to actually help battle racism remains to be seen, but the message certainly hits home with a lot of people. With the rise of racial tensions in the U.S., it’s a message in which many are taking comfort.
