VETERAN'S DAY MEMORIAL FLAG RIPPED UP BY STUDENT - HIS REASON IS SICKENING

A disturbing story has emerged from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, and it comes complete with video evidence. As shared by AWM, some students took it upon themselves to destroy American flags that were being displayed on campus in honor of Veteran’s Day.

Nicholas Strada is a student at the school, and he was pretty disturbed by what he saw. He decided to take some video of what was going on and upload it to social media.

“Today was a sad day. … Hundreds of flags were set up on the main green of Brown University by 2 VETERANS in honor of Veterans Day tomorrow, and when i got out of class, people had snapped them, ripped them, and threw them aside,” he shared.

The video has gained plenty of traction, and Strada received a number of posts of support. However, not all commenters understood why he was so taken aback.

“How can you support something as stupid as the American flag?” one user wrote.

For the university’s part, they released a statement condemning the actions of the flag-destroying students.

“We do not condone the activities that led to the flags being removed, and destruction of property is subject to disciplinary review,” a statement from the university read in part.
