An unidentified driver was driving along minding his own business when he spotted something out of the corner of his eye. As AWM shares, he noticed a duffel bag and initially thought nothing of it – until it started moving.
That prompted the driver to come to a stop and check it out. It’s a good thing he did, because that duffel bag contained a living, breathing dog. It’s unclear exactly how the pup wound up in that precarious situation, but speculation centers on someone callously tossing it away as if it were nothing more than garbage.
“Trash in the desert is all too common, which is why he was going to drive around it. That is, until it moved. Fortunately, the dog was found before suffering any harm, saving him from a horrific death,” explained the Victor Valley Animal Protective League.

The man rushed into action and got the dog some much needed help, and thankfully the dog would be the recipient of a happy ending.

“We named the sweet boy Duff, and he’s now in a forever home thanks to a Good Samaritan,” the league continued.
