You never do know when you’re going to stumble across a veritable treasure, and sometimes it can happen right in your own backyard. As AWM shares, this viral video shares some of the more amazing instances in which that happened.
People find all kinds of things when they start digging around their own land. For example, a homeowner in Salt Lake City, Utah was pretty startled to find some human bones buried in his backyard. Thankfully, they turned out to be about 1,000 years old and not the result of an unreported crime.
Some homeowners in California did this man one better. They found a fully equipped nuclear fallout shelter on their property soon after purchasing it. Another homeowner in the same state wasn’t as fortunate with what he found. He discovered a vault buried under his backyard, but it turned out to only contain a stash of marijuana.

The other discoveries are just as fascinating, and the video is sparking a whole host of commentary, as well as users that have shared their own stories of things they’ve found.

“I found a creepy statue underground in my backyard whilst i was digging to make a pool it was a Illuminati statue with some green gems on it,” shared one user.
