It’s horrifying how cruel some people can be to each other, but it’s even more heart breaking to see what they will do to animals. In a Chinese city, many people ended up being spectators to an event that no one wanted to witness. They saw a truck speeding down the road with a dog chained to the back.
It seemed the dog was able to keep up with the speed of the truck, but exhaustion had to give in eventually. As the truck went faster and faster, the dog became more and more tired until he simply couldn’t run anymore. His legs gave out and he ended up being dragged behind the truck for who knows how long.

A few onlookers eventually intervened and got the man to stop his truck. But the damage had already been done. The dog was found lifeless by the time anyone tried to help it. No one knew if the dog belonged to the man or not, but the action itself is still despicable.

China has been known to slaughter dogs living on the streets in order to cull rabies and minimize their populations, and dog fighting still takes place. Residents are even ordered to re-home their pets if they have too many or they’ll end up being put down.
