A YouTube user named James Hunter found himself smack dab in the middle of a controversy when one of his videos started making the rounds – courtesy of Rosie O’Donnell. As Breitbart reports, the video speculated that Barron Trump may be autistic.
O’Donnell, whom Melania Trump has stated is a bully, caught wind of the video and retweeted it with her thoughts, and the video took on a life of its own from that point. That prompted a strongly-worded statement from a lawyer representing future First Lady Melania Trump, and Hunter was quick to apologize – and remove the video.
“It was incredibly irresponsible of me to diagnose Barron Trump using a selection of misleading videos. My video was originally intended as an anti-bullying video, as I myself suffer from autism and wanted to educate people. Unfortunately, I completely misdiagnosed a person and ended up making a video that was false, defamatory and malicious,” he said in a statement.

Hunter says he was merely trying to shed some light on things, but the video had the opposite effect.

“I retract every single statement I made in that horrendous video, and want to sincerely apologize to the Trump family, especially to Melania and Barron Trump. I wish your family nothing but good luck, safety, and love, as you prepare to become the next First Family of the United States,” he continued.
