PRIEBUS: HACKING DID NOT COST CLINTON THE ELECTION

Reince Priebus, disputing allegations that Russian hackers helped Donald Trump win the presidential election, claimed Sunday that Hillary Clinton lost because “people didn’t like the product.”

According to Newsmax, the incoming White House chief of staff told Fox News: “All of the people that are spinning the intelligence reports are doing it to delegitimize the election results.” He was referring to Democrats who have seized upon reports by the CIA and FBI that Russian leader Vladimir Putin was behind the cyber attacks on computers used by Democratic National Committee officials and Clinton campaign manager John Podesta. The hackers also got messages from Republican operatives’ devices, but gave WikiLeaks only the Democratic emails, according to the CIA.

“If there is this conclusive opinion among all of these intelligence agencies, then they should issue a report or they should stand in front of a camera and make the case,” said Priebus, who previously chaired the Republican National Committee. “I think that these guys should be straight with the American people and come out and say it. I don’t think they’ve been clear about it.”

Priebus remarked that Democrats “need to face the reality they lost the election” rather than “continuing to raise issues” about the legitimacy of Trump’s Electoral College victory.
