WOMAN HAS SERIOUS WARNING ABOUT WHY SHE PRESSES THE MIRROR WITH HER FINGER WHENEVER SHE USES A PUBLIC RESTROOM

A recent case involving a resident of Chattanooga, Tennessee has been gaining a ton of attention, and it’s also opening up a bunch of eyes to some privacy concerns you may not have considered. As AWM shares, the man plead guilty to placing a spy camera in the restroom of a local club.

The man, 21-year-old Justin Jamar Wilson, was arrested after a patron discovered the camera. That camera was discovered to also contain footage from other area restrooms, and the case has seriously freaked out scores of local residents. Wilson has been sentenced to up to a year behind bars, but concerns persist that copycats could spring up.

Technological advances are actually a creep’s best friend in a lot of ways, and it can be pretty easy to prey on unsuspecting victims thanks to hidden cameras and devices. There are a couple of things you can check for in public settings like restrooms and dressing rooms, and one of the best places to look is at the mirror itself.

Mirrors that are mounted flush to the wall with no edges are ripe for having devices placed behind them. If you’re unsure, give it a quick tap with your finger. If it returns a hollow sound, there could be a gap behind it that would be pretty easy to sneak a recording device into.
