STUDENTS FILM A RESCUE AFTER WALKING INTO A COLLEGE DORM AND FINDING THIS CREATURE

It’s not uncommon to see unusual things floating through the halls of your average college dormitory. When you bring members of the younger generation together from different backgrounds into a communal living situation, there’s a pretty good chance there will be some furrowing of brows from time to time.

As Honest to Paws shares, that was certainly the case for this dormitory at Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University, but it wasn’t because of an unusual clothing choice or a curiously-placed piercing. A wild pangolin managed to find its way into the hallway, and it didn’t look like it wanted to go anywhere.

The creature resembles an armadillo, and it also goes by the name of ‘scaly anteater.’ That should give you a pretty good idea on this animal’s diet, but it doesn’t appear as if it was being used as a new tool for ant extermination by the university’s maintenance staff.

Concerned students reached out to the Animal Concerns Research and Education Society, and members were quickly on the scene. There’s plenty of photos that show the rescue workers gently caging the animal up and removing it from the premises. Reports indicate that the pangolin was relocated to the woods, and it’s believed that he munched out on ants before catching up on some sleep.
