EATING OUT TURNS INTO A TODDLER'S FIGHT FOR LIFE - MOM SUDDENLY REALIZES WHAT RESTAURANT DID

Kelly Chapman is pretty livid, and she’s blaming the Flamingo Family Restaurant in Taylor, Michigan for her troubles. As Fox 2 Detroit reports, she’s upset that her highly allergic son became ill after consuming something that he shouldn’t have at the restaurant.

“We were made to feel, at least I personally felt, that we were a nuisance, that it was annoying, and that it was my fault that I even took him outside my house to eat. They said those exact things to me that I shouldn’t have let him eat outside the house,” she explains.

The boy had an anaphylactic reaction after consuming a few bites of a hot dog. He’s allergic to a number of items, including milk, and Chapman feels that the restaurant is to blame for not informing her that the hot dog contained nonfat dry milk.

“What I would love to see happen is more education for the staff maybe a list of ingredients that could just bring out to the customers if it’s asked for,” she explains.

She had to give her son an EpiPen shot and head over to the ER, but he turned out to be fine.
