It’s no secret that airplane travel can be a flat out pain in the neck these days due to all the regulations and security checkpoints, but it’s generally kept in perspective as a cost of keeping our nation safe. However, when security procedures cross the line into harassing behavior, that’s when people get pretty ticked off.
As the Huffington Post shares, that was certainly the case for CNN Political Commentator Angela Rye, but she’s not going to be content to just grin and bear it. In fact, she’s composed a piece on her experience which describes it in full detail, and has also gone ahead and filed a formal complaint.
“Of course, we want America to be safe and protected. But we should not violate the emotional and physical safety of our nation’s citizens at the same time,” she wrote.

Rye was extremely taken aback when a TSA security professionals hands found their way to her genitals for a ‘vaginal pat-down,’ and she asked another officer to record the full incident on her phone.

“Perhaps it’s time for the TSA to invest in new equipment. It is definitely time for them to keep their hands away from vaginas,” she continued.
