Prince Harry recently got a pretty big surprise from a young child that was absolutely tickled to meet him. As the Telegraph explains, the seriously ill young child summoned up all of his strength to give the prince a big hug.
They were both on hand at a charity event for WellChild, for which Harry is a patron. The event centers on recognizing children that are dealing with serious illnesses, as well as the medical professionals that help care for them.
The child, five-year-old Ollie Carroll, was set to receive the Inspirational Child award. He suffers from the rare Batten disease, which seriously hampers his mobility at the moment, and will ultimately result in him being unable to move.

The sight of the prince was enough to put a serious pep in Ollie’s step on this occasion, and he wrapped his arms around him for a big hug. Several adorable photos were quickly snapped, and they’ve been a huge hit on social media.

“He was thrilled – they both were. He (Harry) is very privileged because Ollie cannot stand up by himself and he used his strength to stand up and hug him,” says Ollie’s mom, Lucy.
