President Trump wants to bar all Muslims, not just refugees, from entering the United States, according to Rudy Giuliani.
The former New York City mayor seemed to refute Trump’s claim that his executive order applied to immigrants from “terror-prone” states regardless of their religion. The Daily Mail pointed out that all seven of the countries on the list are primarily Islamic.
Giuliani appeared on Fox News on Saturday night, soon after a federal judge ordered an injunction to temporarily block the executive action. The ex-mayor, a strong supporter and campaign surrogate for Trump, recalled his discussion with the president about targeting Muslims.

“I’ll tell you the whole history of it,” Giuliani said. “When (Trump) first announced it, he said ‘Muslim ban.’ He called me up and said, ‘Put a commission together; show me the right way to do it legally.’ I put a commission together … what we did was focused on, instead of religion, danger; the areas of the world that create danger for us. Perfectly legal; perfectly sensible.”

When interviewer Jeanine Pirro asked why the president did not include Saudi Arabia and Pakistan on the ban list, Giuliani replied: “OK, well, I’ll tell you about Saudi Arabia … it is going through a massive change, I think the kingdom, particularly under the new prince, has a real understanding that we’re dealing with a massive radical Islamic terrorism problem.”
Trump is seeking to turn away all Syrians indefinitely, bar refugees from other countries for four months, and enforce the seven-nation ban list for three months.
