TRUMP'S SECRET RELATIONSHIP WITH THIS PASTOR HAS AMERICA OUTRAGED

It’s tradition for the incoming president to attend a private church service before the inauguration festivities, so it came as no surprise when the president-elect took part in such a service. After the service, the controversial Rev. Robert Jeffress, who led a sermon at the service, came under fire for his position on people of other religions. President Trump, held guilty by association, was slammed for praising Jeffress.

You may remember Jeffress from the attention he got during the 2012 campaign when the conservative Southern Baptist minister urged Christians not to vote for Republican candidate Mitt Romney. Romney is a Mormon, which Jeffress considers a ‘cult’.

In addition to his dislike of Mormonism, Jeffress feels the Catholic denomination of Christianity was led astray by Satan. He denounces Islam, which he says ‘promotes pedophilia’ because the Prophet Muhammed was married to a 9-year-old girl. The minister has claimed that former President Barack Obama was ‘paving the way’ for the Antichrist, and has spoken out frequently against homosexuality.

President Trump’s inauguration organizers chose Jeffress to speak at the private service, which was attended by about 300 people. Among attendees, besides the president and his family, were Vice-President Mike Pence and his family. The POTUS, who was not acquainted with Jeffress before the campaign, said, “I love this guy!”

“Unfortunately, the choice of Rev. Jeffress is symptomatic of the incoming Trump administration’s inclusion of notorious Islamophobes in the transition team, in the picks for cabinet nominees and, beginning Friday, in the White House,” said a spokesperson for the Council on American-Islamic Relations, a controversial Muslim organization.

“The inauguration and the people invited to pray at the inauguration speak to the values and the agenda of the incoming president. Jeffress’ anti-LGBTQ message is now going to be tied to this administration and its policies,” said Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation program director Ross Murray.

“Pastor Jeffress is a unifying figure representing a diverse spectrum of Americans. Any attempt to vilify this religious leader is deeply disappointing and misplaced,” said a spokesperson from President Trump’s inauguration planning team.
