A man was sitting in a bar when a big, tough biker came striding in. The biker, a bit of a bully, went up to the man. Before the man could say a word the biker grabbed the man’s drink, downed it and slammed the empty glass back down on the table.
The man just stared at the biker.
“What are you gonna do about it?” the bully taunted the man.

The man just looked back down at the glass and burst into tears. The startled biker had not expected that reaction.

“Oh, come on,” the biker said. “It’s no reason to cry!”
The sniffling man said, “Yes, it is. This is the worst day of my whole life. Nothing is going right.”
“It can’t be that bad,” said the biker, wondering what could have been so terrible as to reduce a grown man to tears.
“It is,” the man insisted. “I am a total failure. I had a meeting with my boss today but I was late, and he fired me. I collected my things to go drive home, and someone had stolen my car out of the parking lot. I didn’t buy theft insurance.”
“I had to call a cab, and I forgot my wallet in it. I had my rent in there,” the man continued. “I went up to my apartment and found my wife in bed with my best friend. We got into an argument, and my own dog turned on me and bit me.”
At this point, the bully is starting to feel like a heel.
“I went to a pawn shop and sold my wedding ring, planning to end it all. I came in here for one last drink. I dropped the poison I bought into the drink and watched it dissolve.
“I took a deep breath and was about to swallow it, when you came in and drank it all! I can’t do anything right!” The man whined.
