A Northeast Texas cow is momma to four new babies. The cow achieved an extremely rare feat. She gave birth to quadruplets. The babies, named Eeny, Meeny, Miny, and Moo, are all healthy, making the rare birth even more of a miracle.
Barling and Dora Rumsey-Barling knew their cow was pregnant, but they had no idea that she was expecting four young ones. Cow quadruplets only happen once in every 11.2 million pregnancies.
“This was a shock. This blew our minds,” said farmer Jimmy Barling.

Mike Baird, a veterinarian explains, “In the interest of science and the animal world, it’s one of those things that need to be verified beyond a shadow of a doubt.”

The family has needed to recruit help to take care of the calves. Four of them are a bit much for the cow to handle. Eeny, Meeny, and Miny are in the care of human caretakers, while Moo has remained with her mother.
The clever names were given to the adorable calves by the owners’ granddaughter. The fact that all calves and the mother survived this birth is nothing short of a miracle. Chalk it up to bovine intervention.
