OLD WRECK CATCHES TOW TRUCK DRIVER'S EYE, IMMEDIATELY JUMPS INTO ACTION AFTER TAKING ONE LOOK INSIDE

A tow truck driver responded to the call by a woman who pulled over because her gas pedal stopped working. As he was getting ready to tow the lady’s car, the two noticed a wreck at the base of the hill. It’s a good thing the tow truck driver checked it out.

Robert Hooper took a moment from helping the broken-down motorist to check on a mangled wrecked car down an embankment. As Hooper drew closer, he noticed a body was hanging out one of the windows. He thought it was a dead body, but then he heard the cry for help.

After calling 911, emergency services arrived to help with rescue efforts. The crash victim was identified as Steven Ackerman, a young husband and father. Thanks to Hooper checking on the wreck, Ackerman is expected to make it.

Ackerman had crashed well off the side of the road and no one apparently noticed. Some say it was a stroke of luck that Hooper stumbled upon the wreckage, but others say there may be a higher hand in the rescue

Janey Smith, the woman who called Hooper for help in the first place, says she’s a believer. She thinks it’s too coincidental that her gas pedal stopped working right where the wreck was visible.
