Vacation is supposed to be a time for a person to cut loose and kick back. Even a teacher has to have a little fun when away from a classroom, but certain behaviors can come back and bite you in the butt if you’re not careful. One teacher went away for a beach vacation and participated in a dance contest. A video of her routine made its way online, and the primary school teacher ended up being terminated for her unbecoming behavior.
Miss Clarissa, 24, went to Cabo San Lucas on Spring break. The Ciudad Obregon, Mexico teacher was about 400 miles away from home at the time when she joined up with a little beachside dance contest.

While wearing a bikini, the very attractive teacher started her dance seductively. By the time the short snippet of music ended, Clarissa was twerking in front of a male judge’s face, then proceeded to grind on him. She bent over so the judge could get a face full of cleavage.

Somehow the video ended up getting back to Miss Clarissa’s employers. Cumbre del Norosete Institute administration was horrified by the display their employee made. They asked the young teacher to step down and resign.
Clarissa refused at first. She didn’t think what she did for fun on her vacation should reflect on the kind of job she does as a teacher. She was, after all, far from school and students, and she did nothing illegal. She was dancing on a public beach in broad daylight with dozens of other people around.
“I’m a human being like everyone else and at times people believe your profession defines you and you don’t have a life outside of your job, that you don’t have friends or family or free time. We’re not all saints and you can’t judge a person and question their reputation and their job over something like this,” she said.
It begs the question, in this day and age where there’s a video camera in every pocket, do teachers have the right to a life outside the classroom? And how far is too far?
