Most people get to the point in their lives where they just want to settle down and live a comfortable life with someone they love, but those wishes don’t always come to fruition. For every person that finds a mate and does just that, there’s someone else still pining away for a match that may never come. That’s the situation Kelly Star, a transgender model from Perth, Australia finds herself in, but she’s not throwing the towel in just yet.
Star began her transition into a woman way back when she was just 16, and it’s required an extensive amount of effort to achieve her desired look. Beyond the effort, it’s also cost her a boatload of cash – to the tune of $300,00 spread over 127 cosmetic surgeries. Star is at the point in her life where she’s having trouble snagging a mate, and she’s opened up about her struggles.
“For most guys, being with a trans-woman might be something that they’re intrigued by and they just want to be with you once, which is disheartening. It’s hard to find a man who is willing to tell their mates and family that they have a trans-partner, and I think that’s the last barrier to trans-women being accepted,” she says.

She acknowledges that it’s been quite a journey for her to get to this point to begin with, and as you’ll see in the photos, it truly has been a stunning transformation from where it all began. Star’s still holding out hope that her perfect match is out there.

“While most of the operations went well, a couple of overseas procedures were botched, which meant I had to spend money to correct it in Australia. And now that transgender marriage is legal in Australia, my dream is to find Mr Right and for my dad to walk me down the aisle,” she continued.
