8-MONTH-OLD REQUIRES EXTENSIVE ORGAN SURGERY AFTER MAN LOCKED GIRLFRIEND OUT OF ROOM

Jose Iturralde, a 27-year-old New Mexico resident, is facing a slew of charges as a result of his shocking actions. As the Huffington Post reports, the man is accused of sexually assaulting his girlfriend’s 8-month-old daughter, who now needs reconstructive surgery after the attack.

Reports indicate that Iturralde kicked his girlfriend out of the hotel room they were staying in and locked the door. The frantic girlfriend started banging on the door when she heard the infant screaming. He eventually let the woman, 25-year-old Jasmin Davis, back into the room. She discovered her daughter had a huge amount of blood in her diaper, but Iturralde prevented her from seeking medical attention.

She was able to get the child to the hospital the next day, and doctors immediately contacted police. Iturralde was arrested and is now facing charges of criminal sexual penetration of a child, false imprisonment, and child abuse.

Davis is also facing charges of suspicion of child abuse, tampering with evidence and conspiracy, as she initially provided a false story about what happened to police. Iturralde is said to have been smoking meth at the time of the incident.
