Morgan Freeman Reads ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas’ Fulfilling All Our Holiday Dreams.

‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all thro’ the house. Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse; The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,in hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there; the children were nestled all snug in their beds, while visions of sugar plums danced in their heads.

“A Visit From St. Nicholas,” more commonly known as “The Night Before Christmas” was published anonymously in 1823. The work has been called “arguably the best-known verse ever written by an American” and is largely responsible for our perceptions of jolly old St. Nick today. We all know and love the poem, but you’re about to love it a little bit more.

Several years ago, none other than Morgan Freeman volunteered his time to recite the classic poem in front of thousands at the famous Mark and Brian Christmas Show. The world famous actor and vocal talent stepped on stage to catcalls and delighted hollering as they waited for him to tell them the timeless tale.
