Parents of small children know that school plays can be a pretty big deal in general. If everything goes off without a hitch, the experience is quickly filed away in the memory bank until the next big event. However, events that end up being a source of embarrassing incidents can be the source of some long-term trauma.
As the Daily Mail shares, some absolutely heartbreaking video has emerged from a school play at Nutter Fort Primary School in Harrison County, West Virginia. Kent Squires and Amanda Riddle were patiently waiting to capture some video of their six-year-old Autistic son Caleb’s turn at the microphone, when the teacher suddenly snatched the microphone away from him his reach.
The distraught child can be heard exclaiming “Oh no,” and then sobbing uncontrollably in front of the audience. The parents took to Facebook to share their story, and it’s quickly exploded from that point. They have been flooded with words of support – as well as expressions of outrage towards the teacher in question.
