The Friday family was absolutely ecstatic when their story was told on ABC’s hit show, “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” but it sounds like there was some trouble in paradise. As Independent Journal Review reports, the family’s five adopted children would find themselves relocated soon after they were featured.
That’s raising some serious questions about what went down, and the adopted children are speaking out.
“I felt like they were my mom and dad. I loved them like they were my real parents. I did. What they did to us was just wrong. [They] threw us all out,” said Chris, one of the adopted children.

“That’s all she’s about, money. It’s money with her,” Kamaya, another adopted child explains in reference to her adoptive mother.

Devonda and James Friday are singing a different tune, and they offered up their take on the situation.
“Now listen, no one kicked Chris or Kamaya out of the home, OK? That’s a DSS and social services matter. We bought 200 pairs of shoes with those gift cards at Sears for a church uptown that was doing mission work. We’ve done no wrong,” James said.
