When two sides just can’t seem to get along, things can be moved along by one of the parties offering up an ice breaker in a bid to improve relations. As Breitbart reports, President-elect Trump did just that this weekend with a nice gesture towards the assembled press.
Team Trump set-up camp at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey this weekend, and temperatures dropped precipitously. The President-elect had scheduled a number of interviews with prospective administration members, and he took the time to greet each one of them at the door as they arrived.
The assembled press was gathered outside, and Trump would engage in a bit of a back-and-forth with them each time. Some media members jokingly acknowledged that they could use some warming up.

“You need some chocolate? Do you? I’ll send some stuff. I’m not allowed to do that, but I will. We’ll send some stuff out. … We’ll take care of it. First time in my life I’m taking care of the press,” Trump said.

He quickly delivered, and some of the reporters were pretty stunned.
“Within five minutes, there was a whole spread of hot chocolate, coffee, and a lot of stuff to eat here,” explained Fox News reporter Doug McKelway.
While it’s a tiny gesture in the grand scheme of things, perhaps it’s a sign that Trump and the media that covers his every move can work towards improving relations.
